Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Cozart is hurt, right? That's the only way I can explain this to my sons.:confused::roll::scared::scared:

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Today is a must win game if you want to play the Wild Card game in Cincinnati.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Put Cozart at 8 and you have my WC lineup in Pit or Cin! :)
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Reds at 12:35, Cards at 1:45, Pirates at 2:20.
I suppose we'll know quite a bit by the time most of us leave work around 5 today.

Looks like my productivity is going to take a massive hit at work today. :)

No David Wright. Thank you schedule makers.

They're not allowed to call it that anymore. It's the "Business Day Special" now.
I thought the whole PC craze was dying off. Remember when they had road signs that said "People Working", and manholes were called "person holes"?

I don't mind this change at all... I'm a businesswoman and I'm enjoying the game today... (Took the day off from work). :D

This exact lineup has been in my mind for next year assuming they can re-sign Choo. Choo would be an excellent #2 hitter and make this lineup (assuming Hamilton does his part) very very balanced at the top.

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Mets TV broadcast.
Shows Mes hit with a warmup pitch in the dirt. Eric Young nicely asked Mes if he's ok. Mes said yes.
Mets TV guys commented that Mes had some trouble holding on to the ball last night. But complimented his throwing arm.

Though I've never watched them, aren't the Met's broadcasters known for being one of the better crews in the game?

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Reds game is on mLB network.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Dusty said Cozart had played 34 games without a break. Smart to rest him now IMO. Give him the two day break.
Izturis can't hit but he's very competent at shortstop and Cozart needs to be ready for all the games to come.
Glad it's not an injury, or at least apparently it isn't.

I think they are. Cohen and Darling are very good. Hernandez rubs some folks the wrong way he's old school but I think is pretty good too.
Two outs, one on for the Mets in the top of the first.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Fifteen pitches for Latos, 1-2 count on Duda, two outs man on first. Stolen base by Murphy.

Their PBP guy (can't remember his name) and Ron Darling are good. Keith Hernandez is not. He's very smug and has that holier than thou attitude.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
I am getting the Reds broadcasters on mlb network.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
No dice for the Mets. Bit of a pun.

But what if he really is holier than thou?
:p

Is Matzusaka doing the baseball version of 'twerking' out there?

I have never seen a more deliberate windup. Slow motion.

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Missed first inning...did Billy look completely clueless on his K?

Dice K'd him sharply. Split finger. (Another Matsuzaka pun)
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Much better 2nd frame for Latos.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Nice easy inning by Latos.

Best part of the Mets broadcasting team, both on TV and radio, is their knowledge of the game. They seem to know more about the Reds and their players than some of the Reds announcers. This allows them to give very informative anaylsis.

If Chris Welsh had a Gary Cohen or Howie Rose to call games with him, we'd be set.

Anyone listening to the game online, if so where can I listen...thanks

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Lovely...early Dice K looks like Cy Young against our Reds.
Bless you, Jay. Single to right after BP looked bad.
Toddfather up now...1 out.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Dice K mowing down the Reds so far. C'mon Redlegs, guy hasn't been any good since 2008.
-
Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
First hit of the game. Line single by Bruce.

Re: 9/25/2013 Mets at Reds *Early Game*
Are those baseballs made out of Flubber? Catchers are having a difficult time catching them.
