Here is one parent's solution to his daughter not wanting to do chores. Of course, she posted her displeasure with chore-doing on Facebook. Big mistake.

That dad should be happy his teenage daughter's idea of "rebellion" is making angry facebook posts.
Imagine what his reaction will be when she does something actually rebellious -- like having her older, drug-dealer boyfriend drive her to the tattoo parlor to get inked for the first time.
One day that daughter will look back on the experience with the insight of age & maturity and think "I'm glad I am super far away from that maniac and I will never do anything like that ever to my own children."
Which teenager hasn't grumbled to his or her friends about strict parents and doing chores? She simply made the mistake of posting it to Facebook, an option that my generation never had. Sounds like a typical teen to me. 10 bullets into a laptop and grounded for years seems a bit of an overreaction to me.
Nah, but one time at a wedding I almost started a fight between husband and wife. Someone found a diamond ring and turned it into me to announce if anyone lost it.
my announcement consisted of me testing it to be a real diamond. I determined, live, that it was cubic zirconium....when the woman came up to get it she starts yelling at her husband...
"I was joking ma'am..."
It's been 5 years. I have one.
Grocery stores who put the floating end cap along the back wall.
So you have aisles that run front to back, right? And then there is that pretty big space between the end of the aisles and the section that runs along the back wall form side to side across the rear of the store.
Now at our Publix they put little portable shelves/end caps to sell other stuff, effectively cutting that space between the ends of the aisles and back of store by at least a third. It sucks- you have to now wait for people to go by you to move if you are in the same space.
Awful.
I want to run over the English muffins or Little Debbie's one time...just crash into it as hard as I can.
Like organize your store better- we don't need to slow traffic down because you want to sell some more Little Debbie's...
Things store clerks do:
The credit card ask:
Them: "Would you like 10% off your purchase for applying for a <insert store> credit card?"
Me (pleasantly): "No, thank you."
Them: "Are you sure, it only takes a minute."
Me (sternly): "If I wanted one, I'd already have one."
I get the initial question is just what they're trained to do. The followup is what annoys the heck out of me and why I get snarky.
The address/telephone number ask:
Them: "Can I have your telephone number?"
Me: "No, I don't randomly give that out."
Them: ...
Mostly I just don't like being sold to. I know what I want, and I know what I like, and no amount of cajoling me is going to get me to buy your crap. If I wanted it I'd already have it, and it must not be that good if you have to convince me to buy it.
I hate when someone changes the category on Jeopardy when there is still 2 clues left.
I would like to see tire spikes installed between every double yellow line on every street.
You know who you are...
