Based on what's happened so far this season, that lineup spells "loss" throughout with Nix and Stubbs (who have both sucked this year) batting ahead of Hanigan, thus wasting all of Hanigan's at-bats. Arroyo has also sucked with the bat, so he'll waste Hanigan's OBP. With the bottom-4 batters potentially then producing nothing, that leaves it all in the hands of the Top-5 hitters to produce all of the runs. More than 3 runs tonight would be a shocker.
However, this is only May 10th....players have to get at-bats and Dusty's still got to get guys into rhythm for the June through October run. It's not about stats and such this early in the season. Everyone needs to play right now. (just wish he'd bat Hanigan 6th, not 8th...that's a stupid move on Baker's part with this lineup). I have no qualms about who's playing, just batting Hanigan 8th. Hanigan will again get absolutely nothing to swing at, as he has all season. If he gets a hit, I'd be shocked and he would have well-earned it.
Again, though, it's only May 10th, so anything can happen when it comes to even Nix and Stubbs.....and mayby Arroyo shocks everyone and gets a hit.
lets get a win!!
Heres to Votto, Bruce and Phillips staying hot.
3 legit studs.
