OK. I understand.. They are saving everything for the playoffs. Their legs, concentration and ability to grind out at bats. The last one...will just magically appear all of a sudden then.

Dude, they haven't played with their actual starting lineup all together at once but like (maybe) once or twice in the past 10 weeks. Starting next week, that will happen.
Not saying the offense is great when it's all in there together, but it's hard to judge based on a month where it's never been penciled-in.

I get that. I get they could go all 1990 on everyone....but I also get they could go all 1995 in the playoffs as well.
They have been resting some guys beacuse of injuries. But now they are still resting them again starting tomorrow? Hitting takes some repetition and timing. Phillips finally looks good hitting and now you sit him? Just don't get the way too laid back attitude I am seeing to go along with Jose and Logan as options for this bullpen.
Bad enough Valdez and Cairo have to stink up this bench..... their pitching is going to have to be near 1963-66 Dodger perfect to win.

Does this guy make the roster? I can't remember his last 1,2,3 inning
Re: 9/29/2012 Reds At Pirates
And if this were a playoff game, we sure as hell wouldn't see Logan Ondrusek in a 1-1 game in the 8th inning.

If you can't trust him does he make the roster? Man...he has struggled big time the last several outings.

I sure as hell hope not. Him and Arredondo can stay at home.
Re: 9/29/2012 Reds At Pirates
Ondrusek coaxes a couple of fly outs to the wall out of the vaunted Pirates offense. 2 outs.
Then he loads up the bases framing a single with a couple of walks, so he could get to the hitter he wanted, Sterling Marte who he gets to foul out down the first base line. 3 outs.
After 8 complete, Reds 1 - Pirates 1.

Put Leake in the pen?
Re: 9/29/2012 Reds At Pirates
The Orioles beat the Red Sox. Would it be sweet if Sox swept the Yankees and dropped them out of the playoffs altogether? Yes it would.

Yes...He would be long relief...I trust Leake more than even Simon in long relief.

Hanrahan needs fewer donuts and more razors.
Just sayin'
Re: 9/29/2012 Reds At Pirates
Strikeout pitcher vs a strikeout hitter. Wonder what will happen?
