Not a MASSIVE upgrade, but still an upgrade. Everyone knows Rios isn' worth $13.5 million for one season, but all things being equal, I'd rather have Rios than Ludwick.
Crazy that Rios has played 11 years in the majors for three different teams and hasn't had a single AB at GABP. Even playing in the AL you'd think he'd play a game at GABP eventually.
