We know that the Reds must really like him. He is only the third player the Reds have started in the US as a 16 or 17 year old over the last 10 years (international players only, Shedric Long, Theo Bowe and Gabriel Rosa were 17 when drafted). Ronald Torreyes made his way up at 17 as well, but he began that year in the Venezuelan Summer League.
