Stuff generally tends to work out well for the Cards.
I hate them, but I got to admit, they make their own "luck" on a regular basis.
Lots of talented and smart hitters.
A friend of mine is a Card fan (yea, I know :( ) Anyhow, he said in game 1, Holliday was out in his first at bat, went to the clubhouse and watched tape and waited for the pitch that Leake and hit it for a HR. I didn't actually see Holliday's HR, so I can't verify it, but that's an example of the Cards making their own luck.
I remember awhile ago, a game vs the Cards, Arroyo got Pujolos on a changeup.
Later in the game, the announcer (I think Brantley) commented that Pujolos had a slightly different batting stance and was waiting for the changeup.. Well, Arroyo eventually threw it.. bam.. HR.
That's two examples of how the Cards make their own luck. I'm not calling Arroyo and Leake (or their catchers) stupid. It's just a testament to how they can make adjustments during the game..
And yea, please don't take this as a Cardinal praising post. It isn't.
