They would have been set by now, but they keep those kinda quiet. Someone from the inside would have to leak.

Big Donkey?

Do I remember correctly that a few players actually went to ST last year without contracts?

Possibly. The cutoff date is around Feb. 28th. Not sure what it is this year though.

Per Marc's blog today:

Mark your calendars

Been a relatively quiet couple of days, but here are some dates to keep in mind. Felipe Lopez's arbitration hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 8, and Adam Dunn's hearing is set for Feb. 17. This year's hearings will take place in St. Petersburg, Fla.

I didn't realize that players took dates to their arbitration hearings. I assumed that they showed up with their agents. I guess that bringing a hot date might be one way to try and sway the arbitrator.

Well, Dunn did plan on bringing an Office Max employee if DanO was still around.

I know you meant this as a joke, but it's either a written or unwritten rule that the players can bring whomever they want to their hearings.

Casey did bring his wife, or so I hear.

I heard on XM today that all arbitration hearings will be held between 2/1 and 2/20.

The Post & Enquirer said this morning that Lopez' hearing is scheduled for the 7th and Dunn's for the 17th.
