Per the Rocky Mtn News, Fogg turned down more money from the Reds to sign with Colorado

Quote:

The Colorado Rockies were pleasantly surprised Thursday to land Josh Fogg, a low-risk free agent who will try to be their fifth starter or win a bullpen job.
Fogg, 29, weighed offers for more money from the Washington Nationals and Cincinnati Reds.

He turned down more money to pitch in Colorado?

Perhaps Josh Fogg should do the opposite of what he thinks is a good idea.

No kidding. Although Denver is a nice place to live, this is nutty.

No doubt. Too bad Eric Milton didn't turn down more money to pitch in Colorado, Bert Blyleven would be in the Hall of Fame.

Maybe he should be the opposite of a closer. Pitch one good 1st inning and then leave on a high note.

Maybe Fogg figured since he sucked anyhow, he might as well go to Colorado where sucking is expected and he wouldn't seem like he sucked so bad. Actually, that may have been quite a savvy career move :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Josh Fogg for this wise, wise decision to not come pitch for the Reds at GABP.

Another bat on ball guy. No thanks.

Best news I've heard all day. I haven't been impressed w/ Fogg since he left Gainesville.

Jose Acevedo didn't even have to "choose." He was fortunate enough to get to without even asking. What a lucky one he was.

Denny Naegle must have told him that Denver was the place to be if he wanted, uh, companionship.
