Redszone mock draft?
 

Last year I tried to put together a Redszone mock draft at the last minute, but it never came to fruition as I waited too long. This year I am starting earlier in hopes of getting this thing done.

I was thinking maybe we could do a two round draft and and each poster (GM) would get two minutes to make his pick. We could possibly hold the draft a few days before the real MLB draft, maybe on the first Sunday or Monday of June. Whatever works best for you guys.

Each poster is limited to one team, although some teams will have more than just two picks in the two round draft due to compensation picks. Anyone else up for this idea? If so, sign up here by picking your team. After all the teams are taken, then we can discuss what day this should held, what time, and some other details.

BTW, the draft will be held in the minor league forum. I just stuck this post here so that it would get more views right now.

What if we can't make the draft. I'd like to do it, but if it's on a Sunday, I probably won't be able to do it.

If you want to take a chance on me as a GM, I'll take the Indians. They don't have a first round pick, and their first pick is #39, so that may work better for me.

Monday, the day before the draft works best for me. Hopefully everyone that signs up can make it that day.

I think this is a fun idea OBM. I would like to be the Red Sox GM, if nobody else wants it. If someone else does then, the Padres would be cool too.

You can have the Red Sox if you prefer them, I'll take the Padres. I'm good either way. At least if OBM says its ok.

The real draft is scheduled for June 6-7. I'm hoping to hold the mock draft on the Monday (June 5th), the day before the real deal.

Oh my God. I just looked and saw that the Indians didn't have a pick until pick #39. I didn't realize that pick #39 was the first of 5!! I got bunches of homework to do!

Up to M2. He initially put the Red Sox. If he wants them I'll take the Pads, if not I'll take them.
