Prospect Profile: Phil Dumatrait
Season stats through 7/02/06
Code:
Louisville (promoted to Louisville on 6/05)Code:
Chatt. (4/06 through 6/05)
Scouting Report: Dumatrait has an athletic build, possessing a plus 80 MPH curveball and an 87-92 MPH two-seam fastball that he keeps out of the strike zone. Because he likes to work off of the plate, hitters rarely can get a good swing. He isn't real efficient with his pitches and has had trouble utilizing his 80 MPH change-up effectively, but has the aptitude to get it done. Missed entire 2004 season with a torn rotator cuff. http://www.soxprospects.com/players/dumatrait-phil.htm Previous season stats: Code:

Re: Prospect Profile: Phil Dumatrait
Is there anyway to get some righty lefty splits? I see him becoming a loogy after after the allstar break if they are good...

Re: Prospect Profile: Phil Dumatrait
www.brewcrewball.com has minor league splits for all players. I suggest checking it out, its pretty awesome.

Re: Prospect Profile: Phil Dumatrait
I'd almost try him for a couple of starts - but IIRC, he got rocked a few times in ST.
Thanks for the update HBP |
Re: Prospect Profile: Phil Dumatrait
if he has 2 to 3 more quality starts in a row and claussen comes back and gets rocked, why not try him? hes calmed down a lot the past 3 or 4 starts... couldnt hurt to give him an audition
