Brandon Claussen
From Rotoworld per Cincinnati Post:
Brandon Claussen (shoulder) was scratched from his scheduled rehab start at Triple-A Louisville on Monday night because of a sore back. Clasusen had his previous outing rained out. The current problem isn't supposed to be serious, but it might prevent him from making it back before the end of the month. Joe Mays will stay in the rotation until Claussen gets back. |

Re: Brandon Claussen
At least it's an indication Mays is out of the rotation when he comes back.

Re: Brandon Claussen
Why not bring up Chris Michalak?
8-4 2.61 ERA |

ETA: Well, I'm selling his 150 career big league innings short by calling him a career minor leaguer, but still -- not the kinda guy that screams "Savior." ETA pt. 2: He's a lefty, it turns out. |

Get Haynes back

Re: Brandon Claussen
Why not have the relievers pitch? Weather goes the first 2, Mercker the next 2, Standridge the next 2, Bray the 7th, Majic the 8th, Coffey/EE the 9th.
It's a one shot deal and you can also bring up someone from Louisville to take Mays'es roster spot. |

Of course the bullpen has been so terrible that it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. |
Re: Brandon Claussen
Like I said last week, I've seen zero evidence that Mays will be out of the rotation anytime soon.

Re: Brandon Claussen
Anybody but Joe Mays, it's like getting a root canal with no pain killers watching him pitch. I'd rather see Krono on the hill.

What if Mays is Krono? |
