8 Dragons make all-star team
The Dayton Dragons are one of three Midwest League teams to place eight players on the 2007 Midwest League All-Star Rosters for the game on June 18 th at Elfstrom Stadium, the home of the Kane County Cougars. The Dragons along with Eastern Division foe West Michigan and the Clinton Lumber Kings from the Western Division will comprise 35% of the all-star games 68 roster spots. The eight players in the 2007 All-Star game are the most the Dragons have sent since the team's inaugural season of 2000 when Dayton sent 10 players to the game, which was also hosted by Kane County. The Dragons have three players in the starting lineup and will make up three fourths of the starting infield. Second baseman Justin Turner, shortstop Chris Valaika and third baseman Juan Francisco will start for the Eastern Division. Rounding out the Dayton All Star representatives are outfielder Drew Stubbs and pitchers Rafael Gonzalez, Marcos Mateo, Pedro Viola and Sean Watson. |

Ramon Geronimo didnt make the team? You have to be kidding me. Coming into this week he had allowed 1 earned run all season in 21.1 innings with a WHIP under 1.00.
