GCL Reds lost 5-3 earlier today. Big day for Justin Reed, going 4 for 5. Good relief day by Vinyard, Beal, and Fiebag. All threw up zeroes after Arneson got rocked for 5 runs in 3 innings.

* Mesoraco did not play.

Louisville up 2-0.
* Votto & Herr have homered.
* Pedro Lopez had another hit, but was picked off prior to Votto's HR.
* Richie Gardner continuing the comeback trail tonight.

Billings just under way.
* Waring struck out 1st AB.

It's not usually a good sign when you have a 4 hit day and only raise your batting average to .245.

Dickerson walks in his 1st AB.

The Indians announcers are in awe of his combo of size, speed, power, and defense. They called him the fastest man in the organization. They, like everyone, just wonder if he'll be able to make contact consitently and the next level.

Aaron Herr was just removed from the game. I have no idea why, and neither to the announcers.

Anyone know why the 3B playing against Dayton was ejected? According to the game log it happened before the Stubbs hit,

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates

nevermind.

He struck out to end the 3rd and was ejected by the home plate umpire. I'll go out on a limb and say that he did not agree with the called strike 3.

Gardner settled down nicely.

His final line: 5 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Reds need to call Bray up and send don Gosling. Bray has been mowing hitters doen since his 1st rough outing.
