Arizona Fall League
Any idea which players will be going to the Arizona Fall League?
|
Re: Arizona Fall League
If its been decided, I don't think the players have been notified yet. The Reds normally wait until the last week of the minor league season to make those announcements.

Re: Arizona Fall League
Do they normally send players that were drafted in that year's draft? I.E. - the players from the June draft? If they do, would it make sense to send some of the people that recently signed such as Frazier and Hildenbrandt? Or do they normally send players that they feel are close to helping the big club?

Re: Arizona Fall League
No. Usually its guys from Sarasota or Chattanooga that get to go play in the AFL.

I see Drew Stubbs there as well. He needs alot of work on his hitting.

Re: Arizona Fall League
Stubby is probably going to have his toe fixed and most likely will not be playing winter ball at all. What other leagues do the Reds send players? There should be quite a few that have to attend instructs.

Re: Arizona Fall League
I think teams can only send one prospect from A ball, the rest must come from AA or AAA.

Burton hasn't really thrown too much this year. I don't think it would hurt too much.
