Whatever you do, do not mess with the juggernaut offense that this lineup has proven itself to be.

Just plain stubborn.

Bruce flied out, Kepp singled, Griffey GIDP.

Cueto got ahead 0-2 on Matsui with two fastballs and tried to throw another fastball past him and Matsui doubled.

I don't understand our pitchers' propensity to throw hittable pitches with favorable two strike counts.

Re: Reds vs Astros 7/28/08

Goodness. I hate this defense. Routine groundball rolls into centerfield for a RBI single. Ridiculous that Keppinger can't make that play. Geez.

I agree. You have a killer slider and changeup, why not make the hitter chase one of those pitches out of the zone instead of throwing a hittable 0-2 fastball?

Isn't Bako calling the game?

Yep. For a so called defense expert, he's hasn't impressed me.

Cueto threw 120 pitches last start, a career high so it will be interesting to see how he bounces back tonight.

Not very well, I'm afraid. 2-0, runners on first and second and no one out.

Mayday! Mayday!

It looks like the bullpen is going to get some more work tonight.

Re: Reds vs Astros 7/28/08

Berkman walked. Cueto threw a slider in the dirt and Lee somehow made contact and bloops a RBI single. First and third and nobody out.

It's going to be a long night. Cueto has a good changeup tonight but isn't locating his slider or fastball, plus the Astros are getting lucky groundballs and bloop hits.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a catcher who could actually, um, catch the ball? 3-0 on a sac fly.
