Yunel Escobar
The Braves are said to be interested in Rafael Furcal and maybe looking to trade Yunel Escobar. If this is truely the case The Reds should be all over this! I'm not one for trading away pitching but in this case I would be willing.
The Braves have had interest in Bronson Arroyo in the past. What do you think it would take to get Escobar from the Braves? |
Re: Yunel Escobar
Bronson and Majic Man

Re: Yunel Escobar
Wasnt there rumors like 2 years ago about a Bronson for Escobar deal?
|
Re: Yunel Escobar
I don't remember if there was.

it was 2 years ago and the Reds had no pitching

Re: Yunel Escobar
Somebody here said that since they traded Lillibridge, dealing Escobar wouldn't be likely, but I guess if they sign Furcal, it could make sense.

Re: Yunel Escobar
I hope we don't deal Bronson. I know you need to give up talent to get talent, but I hate giving up pitching. We have made the move towards pitching and defense, and even though we may need a ss I don't want to give up pitching to get it.

Re: Yunel Escobar
Id dump Arroyo for Escobar mainly because of salary
|
Re: Yunel Escobar
I would too and then I would try and turn around and trade EE to SF for J. Sanchez, trade Juan Francisco and a C prospect(if this would do it) to Seattle for A. Beltre and sign Juan Rivera to a two year deal.
|
Re: Yunel Escobar
I think EE is worth more than Sanchez. EE was our 2nd best OPS last season.
