A lot of pressure on Cueto today, Reds really need to come up with a win today.

I know folks get a lot of big LOLs out of raking the Reds' offense over the coals, but I look at the Royals' offense and see a similarly cruddy collection. Yet the Reds' pitchers have surrendered 11 runs to them in two games. Team failure effort, IMO, this weekend.

Nix grounds into a 3-6 FC. The shortstop throws the ball away. 1-0 Reds.

FCB, I know your thesis to start the year was that the Reds' pitching was a problem and the offense would be fine, but, man, you've just been flat wrong. Wrong as it gets. And re-writing what has been happening to lay it on the feet of the staff is silly. Piling up inept performance after inept performance like this team has on offense puts inordinate pressure on the staff to be near perfect.

The pitching has been really quite good for this team, all year. The hitting has been far from that. That is the sum total of the 2009 reds to this point in time.

This team is getting brutal to watch, should be a 5-4-3 DP and they get no outs.

They really could use a 3b. Hairston is a nice jack-of-all-trades guy, but 3b seems to be problematic for him. They have had to use him there too much.

I still wish they would consider bringing up Frazier.
