ERA for the year at AAA down to 2.97 for Homer
Through 4 today, Homer's last 5 starts, including this one, he has thrown 27.1 innings with a K/BB of 24/4!!! and about a 0.33 ERA. Also not including the two hits giving up today cause I don't fell like doing the math at the moment, in those starts, he is holding hitters to a .196 AVG If Homer can keep the walks down at the ML level, he will be the pitcher we always wanted
Redhawk beat me to it. He may not have many k's today, but he's been racking them up this year. Pretty close to averaging one per inning IIRC. But as long as he's getting outs...I'm fine. (the groundball variety that he's getting today figure to work well in GABP)
Dorn is 2-for-2 with a double.
Dorn with a single. I guess he didn't forget how to hit after all.
2-0 Bats after the botched DP.
Bats score after a double from Barker, Single from Dorn, then a FC from Mcdonald.
After Homer's meltdown and ejection in his second start of the season his ERA stood at 11.25. Since then (including today's action) his numbers look like this:
70 2/3 IP 64 H 16 ER 20 BB 60 K 2.04 ERA.
How new is this splitter? Has he always had it but never threw it, or did he just learn it a few weeks ago
Kevin Goldstein had a little tidbit on Stubbs today and he thinks Stubbs should be manning CF for the Reds right now. He said many scouts think Stubbs is the best defensive outfielder in the minor leagues.
Tatum singles under the 3rd baseman's glove to plate 2 more. 4-0 Bats.
I gotta go for a bit
Bats having a big inning right now.
