CINCINNATI -- For most of the summer, fans come from all over to see Reds games. For four days this month, the team will go to the fans where they live.

The 2010 edition of the Reds Winter Caravan is set for Jan. 28-31 and will make 14 stops in four states while covering about 2,600 miles. The trip is presented by Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network and CincinnatiUSA.com.

Members of the Reds will be fanning out across the region by having buses simultaneously traveling on three separate legs.

Going on the Northern tour in Ohio and West Virginia will be second baseman Brandon Phillips, 1990 World Series member Glenn Braggs, Reds Minor League Player of the Year Chris Heisey, assistant general manager Bob Miller, Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman and Reds TV analyst Chris Welsh.

Headed on the Southern Tour through Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia will be manager Dusty Baker, Reds Hall of Famer Eric Davis, shortstop Paul Janish (Thursday and Friday only), infielder Adam Rosales (Saturday and Sunday only), shortstop prospect Zach Cozart, broadcasters Jeff Brantley and Jim Kelch and special assistant to the GM Gene Bennett.

And making the Western Tour with stops in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio will be Reds outfielder Jay Bruce, general manager Walt Jocketty, top prospect Todd Frazier, broadcaster Thom Brennaman, former Reds player and Class A Dayton manager Todd Benzinger and chief operating officer Phil Castellini.

The Reds lead the league by having three different mascots and all of them are being put to work on the caravan. Gapper will be on the Northern leg; Rosie Red is slated for the Southern tour and Mr. Redlegs is scheduled for the Western Tour.

New additions to the Reds Winter Caravan include a stop at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a hometown stop at Great American Ball Park that coincides with the annual select-a-seat event for season-ticket holders. Specifics about the Great American Ball Park stop will be released next week.

All fan stops are free and open to the public. Each group will be available for question-and-answer sessions, to pose for pictures and to sign autographs. Each stop will also feature a raffle of two tickets to the April 5 Opening Day game vs. the Cardinals

Representatives from the Reds ticket sales department will be available to discuss season-ticket packages. The Reds Hall of Fame and Reds Community Fund will also have a steady presence at the public stops.

There will be additional stops in Dayton, Ohio, Louisville, Ky., and Vevay, Ind., to promote Reds Community Fund youth baseball initiatives.

Sweet, my son LOVES Brandon Phillips and he's in the group coming to Columbus. Looks like we may be missing church on the 31st.

I would like it if we could somehow identify Redszone members at the Columbus gathering. I will be there and would like to meet some of the great posters on this forum.

Is there sometime we could meet beforehand, or something we could wear?

I hope I'd make it out there this time... no way to make two of them though... otherwise, I'd go for Cincy and Eric Davis

They have eliminated 2 stops from last year's itinerary........the 2 stops closest to me  - Nashville and Bowling Green.

Soooooo................I won't be making it.

I'm extremely upset that they're skipping out on Tennessee this year, especially after how successful the Nashville stop was. What did we do wrong, y'all?

Weeks ago, I e-mailed the Reds PR people and asked them to come back to Nashville.

I told them they should be down here fighting to get some of these bandwagon Braves fans.

No reply of course

I haven't been to a Caravan stop for awhile but are you allowed to pose for pictures with the members of the Reds caravan?
