Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
The VSL Reds came back from an early deficit to win a nail-biter, 20-9. It was a big surprise to see the VSL Cardinals go for a field goal so late in the game since they were already down two touchdowns.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
The DSL Reds did a double header today, but there are no box scores available just yet. Billings starts at 9:05 EST tonight. Dan Corcino is the Mustangs' starter.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
The fact that Mesoraco turned out to be a good thing for one day for Mudcats fans. Chris Denove hit a three-run homer that gave the Mudcats a 4-3 lead in the first inning. This may turn out to be a wild one.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
Henry Rodriguez doubled in DiDi Gregorius, who led off the Dragons' first with a walk. 1-0 Dragons in the second inning.

The Bats are hitless and down 1-0 in the third inning.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
Lynchburg is down 2-0 going into the fourth. Hotchkiss gave up a two-run homer in the first but has given up only one hit since. Denis Phipps stays hot with a leadoff double in the second inning, but he was caught in a rundown on a single to left field by Brodie Greene. I'm guessing he had to hold at second to make sure the ball wasn't caught.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
Dayton has a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Oliveras had an RBI triple.

Re: Friday, July 30, 2010, Minor League Updates
Klinker has given up four runs, one earned (error by Kahaulelio) through two innings. The Carolina game is now 4-4.

What happened to Valaika in the 2nd, as he helped turn a DP? Said "Injury delay.".

Looking at the game recap, it seems like there was a play at the plate. He was credited with a 'missed catch' on a throw from first base. My guess, he got leveled at the plate.

Also, Torreyes left the game early today for the VSL Reds. Sure hope it's nothing.
