End of the world?
I've been a moderate supporter of Jeff Brantley for a while now. Tonight I get in the car after work at 10:30. Turn on the radio. For at least 10 minutes, maybe 15 I have NO clue as to what's going on in the ball game. He's talkin in a low, scratchy, voice of desperation with absolutely NO emotion what so ever. I'm thinking did some one on the Reds unexpectedly die? No I tell myself it's not that bad. Maybe the Reds are just losing 32 to 1. Good gawd what has gone so horrifically wrong that he's broadcasting in the back of his throat so low and somber without a HINT as to the ball game itself. It's as if it's a funeral.
Since he's not bothering to let on to the score my mind races. Just WTF is going on in this game?
Honestly the single worst two innings called in the HISTORY of baseball. Without Marty in the booth as a guide.....I could do better. Horrible, horrid call.
Re: End of the world?
Paul Keels must have given him some advice the night before.
