I have waited each year since I was old enough to comprehend, with intense anticpation. The only difference is, there is a team in place to really actually compete.

Every offseason is painful to sit through, anticipating spring training around the corner. Finally having a decent team to watch and hope for is something new to me, and is making this wait even worse then usual.

The Reds have a decent team? Who could tell from reading the rest of the SD? It appears the fans are expecting a serious decline due to the lack of a "big time signing" or an ace pitcher. The Cards and the Brewers will both likely beat the Reds senseless. (please read very heavy sarcasm in the preceding paragraph).

I, for one, cannot wait until April. Winning baseball in Cincinnati, what could be better?

Haha Capt, I know what ya mean, it has been rough around here lately, almost seemed worse when we were losing and everyone expected it. At any rate, Im jacked for Reds baseball this spring. New Years Eve wasn't about reflection, resolution etc to me, it meant that baseball season is coming again.

Willa Cather was the big free agent this offseason, but our darn management/owners were either too cheap or too stupid to make the big move to go get her. I think we could have gotten her for a package of Bruce, Wood, Alonso and Chapman, and we probably could have signed her to an extension for under 30 mill a year.

If only we had her we would have had a chance, now we are probably gonna finish in a tie with the pirates. This is probably the only year we have a chance and the management blew it. I will be surprised if we win 70 games now.
