I like that guy in the 9-hole.

I'm liking this lineup. Sounds good.

Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Votto with a two-out blast in the first. Reds lead 1 zip after an inning and a half. Error on Cairo to start the second and Morse is on second with nobody out. Phillips, Sappelt, Stubbs and Janish all Kd. Cairo singled and got caught stealing. Gomes lines to Stubbs with a runner on third to end the inning.
Cueto Ks to start the third. Five Ks for Detwiler. Phillips singles with one out. Sappelt just gets in safe at second. 2nd and 3rd now. Votto hitting .416 with runners in scoring position. Is that any good? Detwiler wants no part of Mister Votto and issues Joey his 87th walk on the year. Votto walked 91 times in all of 2010. LOLOLOL Good morning, good afternoon and good night for Jay Bruce. Cairo lifts a soft fly to the second baseman. Bases loaded with one out and no runs cross the plate. I know. I'm shocked too. This just in, Walt likes his team. |
Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
My wife just asked me why I am still following the games when the season is for all intents and purposes over. I shrug my shoulders.

Just wondering...what happens in Janish gets hurt?

Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Maybe we get to see Brandon play short.

Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Cueto has given up just one dubious hit through three.
Stubbs up to 160 on K-meter. He holds the club record for a righthanded batter with 168. Records were made to be broken. |
Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Razor up to .300 on the season. Seems hard to believe he wasn't moved for something at the deadline.

Soft J with a single. Yes.

Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Well that sucks with Cueto up...

Re: Reds @ Nationals 8-17-11
Cueto rhymes with Play-Doh. Which, incidentally, was a mistake made during WWII. They were trying to come up with a substitute for rubber for tires since rubber was scarce during the war. Play-Doh was one of the unsuccessful attempts. One of the people working on the project took some home and his kids loved it. And the rest, as they say, is history. We toured the Play-Doh factory when I was in grade school. It is somewhere in Cincy.
