Has 27 HR? I saw this tonight, and my jaw hit the floor. I had no clue, where the heck have I been? After all the injuries he had last year, I'd say he's a prime candidate in a couple of years to be crying on 60 minutes about how he used steroids to come back from injuries, and he hit a bunch of HR's.

I get this, but if no one asks questions, we end up where we were in 2006. Being vigilant is good, and the watch isn't really national per se - tainting the national conversation, it's just part of the conversation about baseball among fans. Hopefully some of the grumbling can keep players honest.

One of the reasons Johnson was on the Braves was that he wanted more power and put on muscle to achieve that. Earl Weaver said it made him slow in the field and bad on the DP which to him was unacceptable, even if the payback was some power.

I'm not buying that. He had 10 career minor league home runs in almost 1200 PA's. 20 career HR's in almost the same number of MLB PA's.

Wasn't Stubbs in a similar situation? Power projection but very limited power displayed?
