Reds up 2-1 in the bottom of the third. Mets have runners on the corners with two down.

Line drive down the right field line scores the runners. 3-2. Metropolitans. I think those waiting for Homer to live up to his stuff are just gonna keep waiting and waiting and waiting. He's not a terrible pitcher. I just don't believe he is gonna take a step up like Cueto.

Can Heisey please teach Stubbs how to bunt? I know Drew is busy practicing his striking out. But he can take a little time out to learn how to bunt.

Heisey pilfers second. Francisco Ks. Sappelt with a, wait for it, two-out base hit. 3-3. Walking Mes to get to Bailey. Heisey OPSing over .900 in September. Up to .790 on the year. Drew who? Bailey flies to right-center.

One-out triple to the the 8-hole hitter and then walks the pitcher. Nice.

Bailey gives that run right back. Reyes sac fly. 4-3. Wild pitch. Pitcher scurries over to second.

Renteria doubles with one out. Votto and Bruce can't bring him home. 4-3 still. M-E-T-S METSMETSMETS!

Bailey stinking up the joint in the fifth. Two hits and a HBP to load them up after retiring the first two. Nearing the century mark in number of pitches and it is only the fifth. Not Homer Bailey. Beetle Bailey or Barf Bailey.

If they are bringing back the same team in 2012 they have little chance of reaching the playoffs.

We have a Daniel Ray Herrera sighting. Heisey greets him with a line single. Francisco with a single off the glove of the first baseman. 1st and 2nd with no outs. Bailey might get a win out of this yet. Bunt single by Sappelt. Bases loaded. Is Stubbs watching? Take some freaking notes. You already have that strike out thing down pat.
They change it to a sacrifice and an error. Marty and Cowboy disagree.

Goodbye, Herrera. He wasn't around long.

Mesoraco pops out on the first pitch. SMH
Yonder, hitting for Bailey, strikes out swinging. SMH
Phillips grounds to second. SMH

This team has clutch. Tons and tons of clutch. Bases loaded with nobody out. And nobody scores.

Where can you find stats on bunt base hits. Heisey has a lot.
