Re: Official RedsZone Movie Thread (pt. III)
Iīm watching lots of documentaries lately.. some german ones (that are likely only available in german) but I watched "killer coke", "blackfish" , a documentary about nestle and the way they want privatise water...
you have to read a lot afterwards because you canīt believe everything the documentary says without "prove" but it is really interesting ...

Move to Austin. I did enjoy Snowpiercer.

I actually liked the new Transformer movie. I was a HUGE Transformer collector as a kid tho!

Last night I watched The Returned (the movie, not the tv show with the same name) on Netflix. Not a bad movie, had a big twist that I didn't see coming, but the ending was a bit predictable. Still, a solid movie that I don't regret watching.

Have you seen the movie "Goon" starring Sean William Scott? indie movie about a hockey goon that plays on a minor league Canadian team. I gave it a try and it has turned into one of my favorite sports movies. It is on Netflix.

I have. I saw it when it first hit Redbox a while ago. I will watch anything with Jay Baruchel in it.
Last night I watched After The Dark on Netflix. It's also known as The Philosophers in some parts. It was interesting.
Here's the trailer

Went to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and really enjoyed it.

Watched a movie on Netflix the other night called The Conspiracy. It's a bit of a mystery/thriller kind of thing. It's shot in a documentary style, but of course it's not an actual documentary. I enjoyed it, though the ending did leave me wanting slightly more. Still, it was worth the time. Here's the trailer:

One of my wife's favorite movies.
Goon 2 is in preproduction by the way.

I watch 5-10 movies per week and have for years. Fact is, there simply aren't a bunch of movies I haven't seen. I will literally search Netflix for 45 minutes trying to find two or three things to add to my list because I've seen a whole lot and some stuff simply isn't interesting.
Last night I watched The Battered Bastards of Baseball on Netflix. It's about a minor league team in the short season Northwest League in the mid 70's that wasn't affiliated with a Major League team. Back then, you didn't have to be. It was interesting to watch.

It's on my list right now. It's not in English though, so I can't watch it while I'm working at all, so it may be a while until I get a chance to watch it.
