With the 26th pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Houston Texans select Alshon Jeffery, wide receiver, South Carolina.

The New England Patriots come into this draft looking to fill numerous holes and with four picks in the first two rounds will have that opportunity. Defensively the Pats were one of the worst teams in the league, but had to rely on Tom Brady to carry the load. In addition, the offense needs more weapons to build around Brady, so both offense and defense will be a concern.
Wes Welker isn't getting any younger, and the Patriots will look to add some extra help at receiver.
With the 27th pick in the draft, the Patriots select:

Kendall Wright (WR-Baylor)
In addition to being RGIII's top target, Wright is a terrific kick return specialist, giving the Patriots another weapon and eventual replacement for Wes Welker.
Updated thru 27. Green Bay is on the clock.

The Packers biggest need is for a pass rush which wouldn't be so much of a problem if Thompson had listened to me and drafted a defensive lineman last year. But this guy Mark Baron seems like too good a player to pass on here. Plus if Nick Collins doesn't return, safety will be a real problem.
Green Bay takes Mark Barron from Alabama, safety.
With the Ravens coming into the draft looking to take Ray Lewis' eventual successor, Baltimore is happy to select:

Zach Brown (LB-UNC)
Even though Brown projects as an OLB, the Ravens also have Sergio Kindle coming back from injury so the depth improves at this position. Was considering Vontaze Burfict for this pick but decided against it after reading how disastrous his combine was.
With the 30th pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Stephen Hill, wide receiver, Georgia Tech.

It was down between him and Coby Fleener.

Kind of disappointed you guys let Tannehill fall out of the 1st.
The Patriots are back on the clock and after landing one of their top WR targets turn their attention to the offensive line.
In what might be somewhat of a reach, the Patriots select:

Kelechi Osemele (G-Iowa State)
The best guard prospect in this class, and with the Nate Solder pick last year the Patriots improve the offensive side of the ball.
