Yorman Rodriguez with 10 Ks in 20 PAs. Never been a fan.
Nice night for Lotzkar 6IP 6H 1ER 0BB 8K.
Lutz and Vidal with 3 hits apiece, including 2 doubles each.
Hamilton slacking. Just 3 steals in 5 games.
Double platinum sombrero with diamond fringe for Yorman tonight. 0 for 5 with 5 Ks.
For the first-place Blaze I might add.
Glad to see Brackman tear it up tonight. Still too small of a sample size to get too excited about, but he earned his spot in the rotation this first time through.
Also, glad to see Vidal have a big night. With the Votto extension, I think he may be the most important prospect in the system right now. If he can arrive around Opening Day 2014, he could be a great cheap part to the line-up.
Yorman K'd five times in as many trips to the plate (11 out of 21 overall). He's still just 19. Is it too soon to suggest that he may be over matched at this level?
He also had a 0-4 w/ 4 Ks. He may have a tough time putting a negative AB behind him. Sure seems to me that there are maturity issues with YRod. He needs some great coaching in order to be able to turn his potential into performance.Quote:
