Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
until Rolen is out of the 4 spot...these lineups will be failures

Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
I think the 11th game of the season is a pretty good time to get your first winning streak of the season. Two out of three would be awfully nice. Lohse has never pitched three good games in a row so that should be to the Reds' advantage. (Actually I just made that stat up. But it sounds encouraging.) The Reds went 31 games last year without a winning streak. We don't need a repeat of that nonsense.

Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
Everybody sees it. No protection for Votto with Rolen at 4.
Overt. Sabotage. By. Manager. Same as the Patterson and T-Virus years. Baker stays the course. |
Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
With a righthander pitching, I guess the Grand Slam overshadowed the .192 BA and Ludwick has now proven to be the everyday LFer and the platoon is over. I knew one of these two would have a hot streak and prove themselves to be the everyday LFer (sarcasm).

rolen and stubbs and keep on losing for two years

Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
It is my opinion, and only an opinion, that Dusty is big on things like respect and not showing a player up. And since it is Scott Rolen and since he is returning to a place where he played for a number of years, Dusty feels that it would not be the best time or place to drop Rolen in the lineup. This also might explain why it is quite possible that we see Ludwick all three games in left field. End of opinion.

Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
After Votto, there's a ton of terrible batting averages in our lineup. Like really really bad all of the way down.
Maybe this is a series to get those numbers heading in the right direction. |
Re: Reds @ Cards 4/17/12
Hey, I have a question for the locals. Are the Reds games not on the same network as last year? I could get them down here last year but so far this year I can't, thanks for responding in advance.

According to some of you, now that Frazer's been recalled all of our problems should be over.

Tonight's game is free on MLB.com. Yay! If I am correct you can pause it. Go back. Do slo-mo. Everything but buy some peanuts and cracker jack.
