How to add an avatar?
 

I've looked all over my User CP and can't find a place where I can upload or choose an avatar... can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

You have to be a member of the big boy board to get an avatar.

To clarify, that's for bandwidth reasons - not because you're a "member of the big boy board".

How do In upload my own avatar? I don't like any of the ones you guys want us to use.

Click "User CP".
Click "Edit Avatar".
Toward the bottom, there is a box labeled as "Custom Avatar". If you don't see it, then you can't upload your own avatar. If you do see it, you can either enter the link of a preexisting photo, or you can choose option 2, which allows you to upload your own image. If it's unsuccessful, keep in mind that there are size restrictions (no more than 100 x 100 pixels and no more than 20 KB).
After your file is chosen, click "Save Changes".
