I think Cozart and Stubbs were probably scheduled for days off, but Dusty did not want to change that lineup up too much while they were winning.

Any word on Mes possibly getting a suspension? I totally forgot about that in all of the trade rumors.

BPhil4 07-31-2012 04:51 PM

Cozart hasnt been doing anything. Valdez deserved to get a start

can the Reds pitching hold the 3rd worst offense in baseball to under 5 runs today?

So the Reds pitching staff can't have an off day? What is worse, us giving up 11 to the Padres or the Pirates pitching staff giving up 14 (9 in one inning) to the Cubs...

certainly speculation, but I think Stubbs was close to leaving town today... wish they'd plug him back in the lineup since he isnt going anywhere now

I wouldn't be surprised Bailey doesn't have some deadarm tonight(I personally think he did his last start, they usually come in multiple starts). I also think the Padres have plenty of talented young bats that will do well in GAB(as already shown).

Cubs are a much better team or were a much better team but now have a AAA team out there against the Pirates which stinks so the Reds cant be dropping any more home games to a bad Padres team

Bailey only has 26 more to go for a perfect game.
