Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
Bakersfield got pounded last night, 12-1, the 1 coming on a HR by Travis Mattair. So they're at it again tonight in Modesto, with the Blaze, up 2 games to 1, hoping to end the semifinal series.
Daniel Renken's on the hill. It's scoreless after one. |

Re: Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
Modesto puts up a run on the board in the home half of the fourth. A runner on third tried to score on a wild pitch but was thrown out to end the inning. Nothing doing in the fifth. On to the sixth, Blaze leading 2-1.

Re: Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
Michael Dennhardt comes on to pitch the sixth and gives up a run. 2-2 going into the 7th.

Re: Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
Blaze put runners on second and third with only one out but fail to push across any runs. Still 2-2.

Re: Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
No scoring in the home half of the 7th. Blaze retired in order in the 8th. Dennhardt on for the bottom of the 8th, his third inning in relief.

Re: Tuesday 9-11-12 Minor-League Updates
Three one-out singles gives Modesto the lead 3-2 heading into the ninth. Bakersfield will send up 7-8-9. Two-out single puts the tying run at first and brings Theo Bowe to the plate. Bowe whiffs and there will be a game five. James Allen will take the ball for Bakersfield. He will be making his Blaze debut in game five of the playoffs. Nice.
