I couldn't agree more. Look at how Howington, Gruler, etc have turned out.
Grabbing pitching and hoping you have enough sheer numbers has failed in the past.
The draft is such a long term planning thing, it's smart to always draft the best guy.
Imagine how screwed we would've been if we drafted pitching (that didn't pan out) instead of Kearns/Dunn that one year.
