Re: Reds Prospects?
I would say if Homer Bailey pitches at the exact rate he is right now, he will be between 20-25.
Jay Bruce will be in the top 50, probably somewhere between 35-50 depending on what his numbers actually end up at.
Stubbs, I think it will just all depend on how he performs. If he performs well I see him probably somewhere between 60-75.
Travis Wood and Cueto will probably both be somewhere between 75-100.
Votto is a wild card. He probably falls somewhere between 80-110.
I think this isnt a problem like edabbs said, that is some good talent there. You have 2.5 good hitters (Stubbs is .5 becuase we havent seen him hit yet with wood against some pros) and 3 good pitchers all 20 or younger. That seems like a good thing. I would rather have 6 top 125 talent guys with little after that really than 2 or 3 top 100 guys and a little bit more sprinkled in there, becuase honestly how often do guys come from the minor leagues and truly turn out to be good? Not often. So I would rather have a top heavy in a sense system.
