Its always a great game. No matter who is considered a better team, it is always a well fought basketball game. There are many memorable moments from them. I didn't think it was a bad thing when ESPN picked up the game because it was always on ESPN or ESPN2. The game was that big. It has definately lost a lot of it's luster. The loss of Bob Huggins probably contributed, but I'm at a loss to come up for other reasons. People just don't seem to care anymore.
The loss of Huggins didin't help, and the fact UC moved into the Big East doesn't help either. Big East is a power conference and they look down upon schools playing "lower" conference teams. A10 is just considered a major, and after their remake not a very good one. X is about the only team in that league that's even worth watching. I wouldn't be suprised to see them move out of the A10 in the next few years, it really is that horrible.
