I find this a bit strange. Are MLB players allowed to play fantasy baseball, and what do you all think about allowing NFL players to play fantasy football?
If they bet on it, it's a problem. But if they don't, then it's hard to think that a sane player is going to play less hard just for the pride of winning his non-pay league.
How, then, are those people of the future—who are taking steroids every day—going to look back on baseball players who used steroids? They're going to look back on them as pioneers. They're going to look back at it and say "So what?" - Bill James, Cooperstown and the 'Roids
