First time I saw them was in 1986 when they were Dylan's band opening for the Dead. Saw em at the rubber bowl in akron.
And WOY and I saw Tom last summer out here and it was a really good show.

I saw Petty in Charlotte on the Wildflowers tour (woy wasn't with me). I don't recall how long the show went on but towards the end, the house lights came up indicating the show was over. He just kept on playing. I kept thinking they were going to cut the sound system, but they didn't. I've only seen him once, so maybe it's something he does at all his shows, but I thought it was pretty cool.
BTW, anyone know where I can find a recording of Girl On LSD?
