A better comparrision would be a car, if you bought a car and it continually broke down on you would you continue to drive it? Or would you let it sit in the driveway and take your cheaper beater car that has about the same risk of breaking down, but you paid less money for it.
Does that mean the beater is a better option? Cheaper definately, but better, I don't know.
Now enough with the analogies, as someone else pointed out earlier Milton was not horrible last year, except when he was hurt, the rest of the season he was quite serviceable. Was he worth the amount of money the Red's paid him? No, definately not. However the options that people keep throwing out are not looking much better than Milton.
