Sorry to hear this. When I was a kid (early-mid 70's) my parents had good friends who were from Hawaii. The husband came to Dayton on a football scholarship to the Univ. of Dayton. They used to have a group of uke players that would sing Tiny Bubbles and other Hawaiian songs at summertime parties. They also had a guy who did a fire dance thing. One of the uke players told me about Don Ho and how important he was to Hawaiian musicians. I always remembered that.
Small market fan... always hoping, but never expecting.
