Re: Prospect Pofile: Johnny Cueto
Cueto had one bad inning after getting the first two out.
Chris Kroski's RBI single capped a two-run, eighth-inning rally, sparking visiting Sarasota to a 5-3 win over Dunedin on Tuesday.
After Adam Rosales doubled in the tying run with one out, Kroski, a 24-year-old catcher, drove in Rosales.
Reds starter Johnny Cueto went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits, walking one and striking out four. Ruben Medina (1-0) picked up the win with two innings of scoreless relief, while Rick Asadoorian and Josh Roenicke finished up with an inning and two strikeouts each. Roenicke notched his sixth save, matching last year's output for Rookie League Billings in just two weeks.
Rosales got the Reds (9-3) on the board in the second when he doubled in Eric Eymann. Jeremiah Piepkorn chipped in three hits, including two doubles and a pair of RBIs.
Brandon Magee went four frames for Dunedin (3-8), allowing a run on five hits and two walks with one strikeout. Ted Serro (1-1) took the loss for the Blue Jays, who have dropped five straight.
Dunedin scored three times in the third on an RBI single by Jacob Butler and a two-run double by Cory Patton. --Steve Conley/MLB.com
