Angel Cabrera

Angel or An-Hel?

I alway pronounced

Dumatrait, Doo-Ma-Trey (After I learned the ending T was silent)
Votto - Vah-Toe
Valiquette - Val-I(Like "It" w/o the T)-Kett
Cueto - Cue-etto (I think Welsh calls him Cue-Way-Toe)
Phipps looks more like Denise than Dennis.
Valaika - Vuh-Lay-Ka ( I used to pronounce it Val-I-Ki (Ki like Guy))
Good job!

An-hel like Los An-heles:

Actually it is Angel like those in the sky! If it was a "J" it would pronounce more or less like an "H" that you swallow.

Remember one thing : the letter "a" in french, italian and spanish is pronounced like the "a" in Bravo.

Valiquette : Va-lee-kett (french-canadian)
Votto : V'auto (italian) like a fine car
And if I look at Dumatrait, wich is french in origin, it would be : Du (the U sounding like in Durham)-ma-tray but in plain american it is like the above.

Have fun!
