Re: If Itís Hip, Fast and Furious, Is It Cricket?
In our local park, the township has built 4 very nice baseball diamonds. They get used by our local rec league from April-June. After June, weeds literally grow on them because nobody uses them.
Well, almost nobody. On our park walks, my wife and I have noticed a group of India guys get together and play cricket on a baseball field on a regular basis. Well-attended and, judging by the chatter, a lively match. They get there about 8:30 and the match(es) go on most of the morning. The bowler is usually a young guy but all the rest ages range from 20's to 60's.
A sign of the times, I suppose.
