You know, I agree with this. The Cubs don't seem high on Marshall. The Reds desperately need a southpaw in the rotation and you've gotta believe that Marshall's value is low right now, at least in the eyes of the Cubs. What could be offered up? First, they didn't give up Hamilton. They agreed to make a pick for the Reds, once that was agreed on, the Reds told them who to pick. They would not tip their cards first, that would not make any sense.
And absolutely not on your trade proposals, any of the three would be bad.
