I lost all respect for Will Carroll when he said "Johnny Bench would not even be on a major league roster in this era". Bench would be able to play in any era because of his superior defense.

I have never bought into the argument that players in different era's would not compete at the same level in the current era because they would have the same training techniques as the current athletes.
