This afternoon on the Dan Patrick show Steve Phillips said that he didn't see the Marlins trading Willis. I'm not crazy about Phillips but he did make some good points. The Marlins have a payroll of 14 million so giving Willis a huge raise will not really hurt them. They are actually a pretty decent team considering they just had a fire sale, with the players they have it is possible they could be contending for the playoffs in a year or two and a guy like Willis is exactly what a team would want at the top of their rotation.
Logic says the Marlins won't be trading Willis for exactly those reasons. And the Reds won't be trading Homer Bailey for obvious reasons.
