If we took a trip in the way back machine, I really would doubt that Junior would have accepted a trade to this current Reds team. If that's what you were trying to get at? When he came to Cincinnati, the Reds were coming off of an amazing season with a lot of promise. The shortsighted view had multiple World Series upcoming for our ballclub. However it wasn't meant to be. I do feel lucky that I had the chance to experience the excitement of my
baseball team trading for the world's best baseball player. And no matter how outrageous it was, every spring training after that it seemed like we had a chance to win if the Kid came back. It's disappointing the way things happened, but it was nobody's fault and I wouldn't take that trade back in a hundred years. Thank you to Ken Griffey Jr, and here's another White Sox fan for the rest of this season.
