Saw Quantum last night, and ironicallly Casino Royale was on tonight uncut.
Quantum didn't make all that much sense to me since I didn't see Casino until tonight, but after seeing Casino tonight Quantum didn't get all that much clearer.
From what I gathered, Quantum was sorta about Bond getting revenge, which he did at the VERY end of Quantum, but the story of the Bolivian chick killing the General, combined with Bond avenging Vesper's death (although her death seemed very much so martyr-ish to me) seemed extremely weak, and drawn out. Quantum seemed like Bond getting revenge on Dominic Greene b/c of Vesper, but from what I gather he had nothing to do with her death, and the guy at the very end of Quantum with the Canadian government chick was the only connection between the two movies, aside from Mathas (who seemed to betray Bond in Casino and then get what he had coming to him in Quantum)....
The amazing part is that apart from 2 horrible movies, Daniel Craig is a great Bond, and Judi Dench continues to be a great M....
He's has a lot of charisma, and draws the viewer into the story, even when there's not much story.
Part of me is hoping for another Daniel Craig Bond movie, although I'm not sure where they could go, since this was a precursor of Bond becoming a Double 0.
