My reaction was that the story did seem a little muddled, but in the end it was entertaining. I like the direction they're going with Craig more than in the recent ones with Brosnan where everything was about the gadgets. I know that gadgets have always featured prominently in a lot of Bond films, but I just like the feel of these last two. They seem more real.
