Is that a serious question? I couldn't disagree more. Absolutely the right call to bunt in that situation. I know baseball is a second-guesser's wet dream, but I can't fault Dusty at all for that call. The fault lies with Hairston failing to realize the situation. He was trying to drag bunt instead of giving himself up.
"If he grounds into a DP, oh well" <--------- I know you wouldn't have been saying that had it actually happened. And a runner on third with two outs is way different and much more difficult to get a score on than runners on second and third with one out.
On the rest of your points, I don't disagree with any of them.
